Stem cell therapy is therefore not a one-size-fits-all treatment and should be considered based on appropriate scientific evidence and medical evaluation.
Stem cell therapy should only be performed using an appropriate clinical protocol, qualified medical professionals, properly screened and processed cell products, and suitable patient monitoring.
Like all medical treatments, stem cell-based therapies may involve risks. These can vary depending on the cell source, processing method, route of administration, dose, and the patient's underlying medical condition. Potential risks may include infection, inflammatory or immune reactions, procedure-related complications, or other treatment-specific adverse events.
The safety and effectiveness of a stem cell therapy must be evaluated for the specific medical condition being treated.
Stem cell-based treatments are well established for certain medical conditions, particularly some disorders of the blood and immune system.
Research is also investigating the potential role of different stem cell-based therapies in conditions affecting the musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, metabolic, autoimmune, and other organ systems. However, the level of scientific and clinical evidence differs significantly between conditions.

The treating medical team will provide an individualised follow-up and monitoring plan based on the specific treatment and patient condition.Eligibility is determined through a comprehensive medical evaluation.
